Interoute&Ville 2012

The appeal of the Rhône-Alpes region

LYON quai

The French road industry is one of the most important in Europe, with a turnover nearing €14 billion in 2010,  and investment by local authorities accounting for 75%.

INTEROUTE & VILLE 2012 takes you to Lyon: the second largest economic region in the country after Paris with a local road industry turnover of €1.389 million and 11,500 employees.

Lyon is strategically located close to Italy, Switzerland and south of France, and is only two hours away from Paris by train, which makes it an ideal venue for the exhibition.

Lyon is a pioneer in sustainable mobility with well-developed infrastructures for transporting people and goods inside and outside the city (airport shuttles, trains, tram and metro networks).

WHY EXHIBIT?

The exhibition of HIGH-PERFORMANCE and SUSTAINABLE INFRASTRUCTURE

In 2012, Interoute & Ville goes further with its new offer: the "SMART INFRASTRUCTURE VILLAGE" based on 3 main themes:

  • Energy
  • Information and communication technologies (ict)
  • Interconnectable software

This village will be the perfect opportunity for you to meet clients involved in sustainable mobility and smart, well-equipped and communicating infrastructures, through a range of approaches:

  • SMART MOBILITY: "hard" and "soft" management
  • SMART ROAD NETWORK OPERATIONS: winter services, congestion management, safety, pollution, etc.
  • SMART ROAD FACILITY MANAGEMENT: self-monitoring technologies, roads and equipment, permanent "identity cards" and "bills of health"; real-time analysis of the vulnerability of networks and potential risks of deterioration like rutted surfaces; maintenance forecasts; expert tools for public-private partnerships (PPPs), etc.
  • ENVIRONMENTALLY SMART: "low-calorie" materials, vegetal binders, depolluting/low thermal capacity surfacing, etc.
  • SMART ACCEPTABILITY: smart work sites that use new technologies (sensors, memorization, location, information).
  • SMART ENERGY MANAGEMENT: solar heat-blocking pavements, energetic roads, streetlights, etc.

If your business sector involves:

  • Sensors integrated into roads or equipment
  • Micro-electronics
  • Data-processing
  • Interaction between management centers and vehicles
  • Road safety
  • Multimodal mobility management
  • Road traffic management
  • Winter and crisis management
  • Environmental protection
  • Data-sharing and protection
  • Telecom operators

This village is going to be your SALE BOOSTER to meet the needs of an evolving sector.

Together with the exhibition: THE IDRRIM CONGRESS

The French Institute of Roads, Streets and Infrastructure for Mobility, created in January 2010, brings together  prime contracting authorities, companies, suppliers, prime contractors, research and training entities and partners in the infrastructure sector.

High-level conferences on the theme of “Land transport infrastructures: preserving what already exists and preparing for the future” will be held over three days to discuss the main challenges in developing tomorrow’s infrastructures.
